Well, it finally went live today, the Mother ship has announced a rebranding of Pro Tours into what will now be called “Magic weekend“. This means great things for non pros as well as competitive types. It’ll be like the PT many of you have experienced, but BIGGER. I’ve gotten some rumors of things coming down the pipe and while I don’t know details of anything, this should be a great step for PTs. Party time!

Last years attendances were so huge, we busted the seams at Misty Mountain in Madison. We’ve added some space in the open mall bay next door that we’ll use for this and other Magic events in the future to help alleviate the pressure!
For the 2010s, Legion Events will host events in 3 states: SD, MN as well as WI
See you all out taking your first crack at decks featuring Scars of Mirrodin!

Josh Utter-Leyton is your 2010 US Nationals Champion! The team is completed with Anthony Eason and John Kolos with David Ochoa as alternate.
Brian Kibler will be attending the Scars of Mirrodin Prerelease at Misty Mountain North on Sept 25th, so bring your decks and do your best to win my packs from him! (chances are you’ll be able to talk him into a game of Ascension somewhere along the way too!)

well.. that was fast.
regrettably due to an unforeseen conflict Brian Kibler has had to pull from MC3. Let me go a little farther and say this is NOT his fault so no backlash for him please! We’ll still do what we can to load up the crew! I know a bunch of WotC HQ people are planning to come, some have already booked. I need to let this brew a couple weeks and I should be able to clear up a few things and make some more solid announcements.
The timing was very unfortunate (having JUST decided to go ahead on this Kibler announcement late wednesday night), but that’s life sometimes right? please check back in for MC3 updates as we go!

Vincent Proce will be joining us Friday-Sunday at MtG US Nationals in Minneapolis (Grinders begin Thursday Aug 19th!). Check out Vinces body of work HERE!

With much sadness, we announce that Evan Erwin/the Magic Show, will not be on MC3, thing just didn’t work out for this show with his new gig at Star City. BUT we’ve got Magic Blogger, former R&D intern, and regular PT Reporter Bill Stark joining us in his place!
Check back for confirmation on our 2nd VIP (likely to be either Brian Kibler, or Brad Nelson!)
