What is MC2? MC2 is a 6 day cruise on board the
Carnival Freedom for Magic: The Gathering players and their friends, families,
wives and girlfriends. You will
experience all that a regular cruise has to offer, in addition to various
Magic: The Gathering tournaments throughout the span of the cruise.
Who can attend MC2? MC2 is open to everyone, gamer or
not! We are creating an experience for
gamers and non-gamers alike to enjoy a great vacation while having the
opportunity to play some games! For all the non-gamers, remember… you’re on a
cruise!! So sit back, relax, and enjoy the sun!
What is the cost for the cruise?
The cost of the cruise starts at $529 per person for an interior room,
deadline for reserving a room at this price is October, 15th, 2009. You may also choose an ocean view room,
depending on how much you want to spend.

Why does this same cruise appear to
be cheaper on other websites? After
all the add-ons (taxes/fees) that other websites charge you, this is the best
price available for the cruise. Your fee with us includes ALL TAXES AND FEES.
What does the cost of the cruise
include? The cost
of the cruise includes your room, food, all shipboard entertainment, a hosted
cocktail party and ALL TAXES AND FEES!
The only exceptions are alcoholic beverages and gratuity, which you are
expected to cover yourself.
Who has to pay the Tournament
Registration Fee? Only gamers planning on playing in the Magic:
The Gathering events need pay the Tournament Registration Fee. Non-gamers do NOT need to pay this fee.
What does the Tournament
Registration Fee cover? This is a ONE TIME fee, which covers your
entry into all of our tournaments on board.
This fee covers your product cost, prize support and the staff support
needed to run the tournaments. Depending
on which version you choose (Silver, Gold, Platinum), you may also receive a
t-shirt and draft sets.
Packages
are available in 4 levels.

Bronze, $22 = T-shirt only (this does not register
you to play in any events)

Silver, $99 = Registers the player for all Magic
Tournaments aboard the cruise and includes a bonus draft set to be used in
casual drafts.

Gold, $139 = Registers the player for all Magic
Tournaments aboard the cruise and includes a T-shirt and 3 Draft Sets
·
Platinum, $175 =
Registers the player for all Magic Tournaments aboard the cruise and
includes a T-shirt and 7Draft Sets
How do I register for the cruise?

How many spots are available?
Because of game play space restrictions on the ship, we have 50 spots
for Magic players for sale, We have been opened up to allow as many spots
as we sell! No more restrictions on space!
But you can bring your whole family, because we have no limit on
non-gamers that can come with our group.
When is the registration deadline?
The registration deadline for guaranteed price is Oct 15, 2009. However, please remember that there are only
50 spots for gamers for sale, so sign up now before those spots are taken! Additional spots will be available right up
through sail time, but the room fees will change daily, you’ll have to check
with Ashley@allabouttravel.org
for current pricing!
Are there going to be side booster
drafts on the cruise? YES! Some draft sets are included in the
Tournament Registration Fee, and we will be offering options closer to cruise
for you to purchase boxes of product as well.
However, we are not allowed to take money on the cruise, so everything
must be pre-purchased.
Can I pre-order additional product
to pick up on the cruise? Absolutely!
We will have all your gaming products available at www.legionevents.com/cruise for
your convenience. From board games and
booster packs, to sleeves and dice, we’ll have it all! Simply order what you want online, make sure
to include the fact that you’d like delivery on the cruise ship, and we will
bring it to you… NO SHIPPING!!
Can we bring our children on the
cruise? Children are more than welcome on the
cruise! Carnival has a fantastic
children’s program available during the day, FREE OF CHARGE! There are also family activities you can all
do together. You can also hire a
babysitter in the evening if you want a night off to go enjoy one of the shows.

What if I don’t want to play in all
the tournaments? You are not obligated to play in any
tournaments. Pick and choose the ones
you want. We have a variety of events so
that something will appeal to everyone!
However, if you choose to skip a sealed event, stop by the room and find
us… you still get your sealed product!
How big is the cruise ship?
The Carnival Freedom has a guest capacity of 2,974. The Carnival Freedom earns its name with a
beautiful atrium lobby bar, wireless internet café, expanded Youth Program
spaces, great casual and formal eateries, lounges and nightclubs, a sports bar
and a piano bar, a friendly casino, a giant TV on the top of the ship, and
much, much more!
When are the tournaments held?
The tournaments are held during our time at sea. When we are in port, we want to offer the
opportunity to our staff to enjoy
